Evergreen holly-like plant for sun or part shade. Grows to 6 feet but can get taller with ample water. Has year-round interest with yellow flower clusters in spring in spring followed by blue edible “grapes” in the summer and fall and shiny green leaves through winter. Habitat is moist open sites but tolerates shade and drought. State flower of Oregon.
