Description

A conical tree reaching 50 feet. Bluish green 1-2 inch needles, 3-6 inch cones. Habitat is moist, rocky mountain soils. “Concolor” means of uniform color (referring to the needles). Songbirds and mammals, especially squirrels and chipmunks, eat winged seeds. More tolerant of city conditions than other firs.
