Plants of the Wild FAQ’s

How Did POTW Get Started?

Our nursery was started in 1979 by a local farmer who saw a need for himself and other farmers in the area to be able to fulfill their Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) contracts. The contracts called for plants and seeds to be planted on farming acres that were being taken out of crop production, to get them back to a natural state.  Since 1990, Plants of the Wild is proud to be a division of Seeds, Incorporated, a Kentucky Bluegrass processing company that is locally owned by Paul and Jane Dashiell & Ross Dashiell. The Seeds, Inc. company motto is “Progressive business with old-fashioned values”, and that trickles down through all parts of our company.
