Description

Upright single or multi-branched small tree grows to 20 feet. Good choice for shaded locations. Natural habitat is moist soils, shaded stream banks, understory in coniferous forests. Also good for erosion control. Outstanding fall color and ornamental value. Leaves light green, turning yellow, orange, or red-purple in the fall. Native American uses: snowshoe frames, spoons and drum hoops.
