Description
A short lived perennial or biennial provides pollen and nectar for many types of native bees. 12-24″ tall, multi-stemmed, with white or pinkish flowers and “dusty”, lacey or wooly leaves. Found on dry, open, sunny sites in shrub steppe areas. Prefers gravelly, sandy, loamy well-drained sites. Used by Native Americans for a wide variety of health conditions. Great in rock garden settings in full sun.
