Also known as Reedgrass, this water-lover is commonly found in open water or muddy, boggy areas and along stream and pond banks throughout the US and Canada. Growing 2-6′ tall, with vigorously spreading rhizomes and deep roots, it is a great choice for erosion control in wet areas. Blooms spring and summer. Decorative, cool season bunchgrass provides food for waterfowl, muskrats and deer. American Mannagrass is a popular in landscaping due to the attractive appearance and height.
