Description
A hardy, deciduous shrub with fine textured grayish-green leaves that turn striking red, burgundy, orange and yellow in the fall. 4-6′ tall with a 4-6′ spread. Does best in dry, well drained locations and full sun. Makes a good hedge or fence row and can be planted under power lines, etc. Fragrant white blooms in April and May followed by edible purple-black cherries can be used by “us” in jams, jellies and pies, but is also a favorite of many birds.
