Description
A unique ball of rose colored star flowers sits atop velvety, blue-green foliage, 11/2-3′ tall. Found most commonly roadside and along ditches across the western United States and British Columbia. Prefers moist soil and full sun. Honey bees, butterflies and hummingbirds LOVE this plant! It is the least poisonous of the milkweed family, but can still be harmful to livestock.
